New to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, IMDb TV, Tubi & THEATERS July 2021 (for horror, paranormal fans)

Each month, I like to pick out the best streaming has to offer for fans of the paranormal.  This can include straight-up ghost stories like “The Messengers” true ghost stories, true crime stories like since those sometimes lead to ghost stories.

Often the “See You on the Other Side” podcast Patreon community ends up hosting a live watch party or picking one as a “Movie of the Month.” If you want to join future watch parties, you can donate at any level, check out the link here.

Of course, if you’re a fan of ghost stories, there’s a chance you like horror movies in general & spooky sci-fi flicks, so you’ll see a selection of those listed here too.

Neither Netflix nor Amazon Prime were super focused on horror this month. Netflix’s focus is mostly on romantic comedies this month, but the horror films they did add are mostly original, many are international, but just about all look high quality and original. Prime features some Hitchcock classics.

If there’s a title I missed, please just drop me a line or comment and I’ll update.

Personally, I’m excited to check out “Blood Red Sky” “Sword of Truth,” “Hellions,” & “The Resort.” Netflix’s 3-part “Fear Street” movie series sounds like some interesting storytelling too.

This is the first month I’ll be featuring films coming to theaters! It’s nice to mostly be on the other side of the pandemic! As always, be safe, feel safe & respect those around you. When it comes to release dates of in-theater movies, these can change or pop up just a few weeks ahead of their release date, so it’s worth double checking these – I will update this section during the month as well.

In Theaters:

Released in June/Currently in Theaters (alphabetically):

A Quiet Place II (5 weeks of release as of July 1 / in 3,120 theaters during the last weekend of June) – there be monsters!

The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2 (3 / 335) – horror comedy, vampires
